Algurg infrastructure is running on AWS Cloud while leveraging multiple security services of Amazon like AWS CloudTrail, Cloudwatch, AWS WAF, AWS IAM in order to protect data, restrict access, monitor security-related activity and receive automated responses.
Amazon CloudWatch is monitoring and management service, which is designed for maintaining the services and resources which are used. CloudWatch performs actions like, it collects log and metric data, monitors the applications, acts according to the instructions, analyzes the collected log and metric data for further usage. CloudWatch can be used to monitor AWS environments like CPU utilization of EC2 and RDS instances and trigger alarms based on different metrics. By default, CloudWatch provides matrices on CPU, Network, and Disk. AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a web service for securely controlling access to AWS resources. It enables you to create and control services for user authentication or limit access to a certain set of people who use your AWS resources. IAM enables you to manage access to AWS services and resources in a very secure manner. IAM allows you to manage users, assign policies, create groups to manage multiple users. With IAM you can create groups and allow those users or groups to access some servers, or you can deny them access to the service.
AWS CloudTrail is an auditing, compliance monitoring, and governance tool from Amazon Web Services (AWS). With CloudTrail, AWS account owners can ensure every API call made to every resource in their AWS account is recorded and written to a log. It logs all changes and API calls made to AWS. CloudTrail saves the API events in a secured, immutable format, which can be used for later analysis.
AWS WAF is a web application firewall that helps protect your web applications or APIs against common web exploits that may affect availability, compromise security, or consume excessive resources. AWS WAF gives you control over how traffic reaches your applications by enabling you to create security rules that block common attack patterns.
